Will run a special build of Mojave and have some sort of emulation layer that lets it run x86 code. And with everything soldered onto the board so zero chance of upgrading anything. 1-2 USB-C/TB3 ports and an HDMI port, ridiculously low power usage and maybe the first foray into their own processor, maybe quad or 6 cores of some ARM variant. if they do release a new mac mini line I predict it will be far from pro. Any help in this direction would be greatly appreciated.I honestly wouldn't hold your breath. Okay, well maybe that's a tall order for around $1500.As you've probably noticed, reliability/compatibility is my highest priority, then processing power/speed, then price. Multi card reader - PCMIA, SD, HCSD, etc. Mobo should allow for minimum of 16GB ram (preferably 32GB). Processor should be 64bit and powerful enough to crunch the most intensive renders easily. Graphics card should have at least two DVI and HDMI ports and 1gb ram. Most reliable and stable OOB Mobo, processor, and graphics card combination.

If anyone has such a build they can link me to, I would be happy to order parts through their amazon list. I need it to be completely, truly %100 reliable, stable and compatible because I work with a lot of clients who don't have much patience or time for tinkering. basically, as close as I can get to OSx86 version of Mac Pro 12-core for around $1500 USD.

My goal is to build a machine that is completely compatible/reliable/stable, and powerful enough to easily run 64-bit apps like Maya, Smoke, Nuke, AE, etc for VFX modeling, compositing, and rendering. It seems there are still a lot of problems and bugs with almost every 'success' or '100%' story. The more I read, the more discouraged I get though. I've been browsing the site for a couple weeks now trying to determine the best build for my situation. Want to say thanks for the wonderful site!
